In this episode Susan talks to Janet Phillips whose entrepreneurial spirit led her to set up a hugely successful business in Hong Kong. A change of circumstances led her to sell up and move back to the UK where she proceeded to establish herself in farming and to develop her arts and crafts business.
Listen to Janet explain how she began her entrepreneurial journey with a mysterious buyer purchasing all her drawings at her first exhibition in Hong Kong. She has had several successful businesses in both Hong Kong and in UK, settling more recently in the Yorkshire Dales. From the Threshing Barn, in Reeth, Janet runs craft workshops and supports a loyal customer base who know that they can rely upon her for advice and quality products. Threshing Barn products can be purchased by contacting Janet in Reeth or at one of the many wool and textile events she attends throughout the year.
